Kelsey joined Touchstone Innovations in 2012 as Director Technology Ventures, and focusses primarily on energy, materials and connected device (Internet of Things) technologies. She represents Innovations on the boards of Concirrus (IoT platform for insurance and capital assets), Inflowmatix (water pipeline monitoring insights), Econic (CO2-polymer catalyst) and Aqdot (cucurbituril encapsulation technology).
Previous to Innovations, Kelsey was a Partner at Firelake Capital in Palo Alto, where she focussed on commercialization of new materials technologies and business models. An engineer by training, Kelsey has worked in energy technology since 2003, including roles with Google's green energy strategy group and Stanford's Global Climate and Energy Project (GCEP). Kelsey has a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering & Thermodynamics from Stanford University, where she played fullback for the National Champions rugby team, and later studied for an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
