Cortexica expands reach in online and physical retail

Portfolio company Cortexica, the specialist provider of AI visual search technology solutions, has been featured in an article on The Guardian. The company’s technology, developed from research by Dr Anil Bharath from Imperial’s Department of Bioengineering, is currently being trialled by online retail giant Asos and shopping centre operator Hammerson.

The article focuses on Cortexica as one of several new technologies facilitating shopping through the internet, some of which are also helping traditional brick & mortar shops attract and retain customers.

These trials come after a string of successes for Cortexica, whose technology is already being used by John Lewis, Net-A-Porter, and Zalando.
