Ieso appoints new COO

Portfolio company Ieso Digital Health, which provides one-to-one therapy with accredited providers online, has appointed Michael McGreal as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO).

McGreal is the former COO and EVP at Beacon Health Strategies (recently merged with Value Options to create Beacon Health Options), a large managed behavioral healthcare leader in the US with 50 million members. During this time, he oversaw the company's growth from 10 employees in the first office, to 1,200 employees across 18 offices in 12 states. Beacon has become the largest privately-held behavioral-health business, managing health benefits for 12 million members with over half a billion dollars in revenue.

The appointment takes place at a time of rapid growth for Ieso: since July 2016 the company has seen a rise in the number of client organisations and patients, with strong clinical results in treating patients. Ieso has also seen an expansion in the relationship with its largest client, as well as in its networks of potential clients and providers looking to improve the delivery of mental healthcare.

Commenting on the new addition to Ieso's management team, Dan Clark, CEO of Ieso, said:

“Our ability to attract talent of this caliber is testament to the significant growth and opportunity in Digital Health therapeutics and analytics. I am pleased that such an accomplished executive has joined Ieso and shares our enthusiasm for the business and collective passion for improving access, quality and cost of behavioral health care across the US.”

Simon Cartmell, Chairmain of Ieso, added:

“This is an exciting time for Ieso, and growing the leadership team with experienced executives such as Mike is a key step in delivering on the fantastic opportunity presented by expansions in the US.”
